A five-year timelapse touring Mars

The Mars Science Laboratory (abbreviated MSL), known as Curiosity is a space mission that includes a NASA-led Martian spacecraft. It was finally launched on November 26, 2011 at 10:02 am EST, and it successfully landed on Mars in Gale Crater on August 6, 2012, at approximately 05:31 UTC, sending its first images back to Earth.

In order for us to see the entire deed of this vehicle, NASA has released the following video , a timelapse that summarizes five years of its life .

NASA and JPL have taken advantage of all the images captured by the vehicle’s "Hazcam" navigation camera (dedicated to avoiding risks and dangers on its journeys) to create a timelapse of the last five years of the rover exploring Mars. In addition, the timelapse also shows the total path of Curiosity on the Martian surface .

Famous for its selfies , the work of this vehicle has revealed that Mars had an atmosphere in its youth, there is more detailed data on radiation on the planet, evidence of the existence of fresh water was found and, in addition, meteorites and rocks that allowed us to better understand the history of the planet .
