So far, more than 200 astronauts have conducted spacewalks . Regarding women, however, the percentage has been very low.
To regain ground, NASA astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir , currently members of the International Space Station, conducted a spacewalk together for the first time on October 21. Meir also just published a spectacular selfie.

On her Twitter account , Meir posted two photos that she took with a camera inside a protective bag. In one of the photos, he used one of the solar panels to reflect his face and shows the Earth in the background .
The second image is a selfie of her face, with her visor up. The camera is inside a protective casing, visible in the second image.
Physiologist and marine biologist. Meir was chosen for NASA astronaut training in 2013, and completed the process in July 2015. She will return to Earth in the spring of 2020 .
