Spain's new observation satellite is called INGENIO

Its launch between November 16 and 17 from Kourou, and to warm up the engines, the following video has been broadcast about INGENIO, the new observation satellite in Spain .

The Spanish High Resolution Earth Imaging Mission, known as SEOSAT-Ingenio , will provide high resolution images of the Earth’s land cover.

Latest generation camera

With a mass of 700 kilos and a lifespan of 7 years, the satellite has been manufactured by Airbus Defense and Space.

The satellite will benefit society through various disciplines, including cartography, land use monitoring, urban development and water management thanks to the fact that it will be equipped with a state- of-the-art dual camera that can take images of the Earth with a resolution of 2.5 meters.

With its ability to look sideways, it can access any point on Earth in three days.
